What is Swim America?
SwimAmerica is a national learn to swim program operated by the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) through over 500 Program Directors at over 900 locations across the United States. It is the state of the art learn to swim program in the world today. Brought to you by the same people who have brought you the most successful sport team on the planet…the USA Olympic Swimming Team. What we learn teaching people to set world records , we use to teach new swimmers to enjoy swimming with the best techniques in the world…just like the development of great cars and trucks from the NASCAR and INDY races. We learn from and teach the elite athlete AND the new child!
The SwimAmerica program you are joining was one of five pilot programs started by ASCA in 1988. This makes us one of the longest continuing SwimAmerica programs in the country. We have taught over 14,000 children to swim. Lots of organizations and individuals teach swimming lessons. We don't teach lessons. We teach PEOPLE HOW TO SWIM!
Our coaches (in-water instructors) focus on the critical skills to move your child through the teaching progression as rapidly and they can do so. All learning is individually based…your child will learn as fast as they are able to do so, no waiting for those "slower in developing". When your child passes the skills of the criteria for advancement, they will immediately begin working on the skills in the next level.
SwimAmerica offers the best learning environment, professional instruction, up to date techniques, with the goal of a ratio of swimmers to instructors of 5-to-1, of any learn to swim programs. We look forward to teaching your children to swim!
